Functioning
The design of PISA was a pioneering initiative that has transformed itself into a vital tool in the area of animal health in Portugal over the years .
Given the importance of animal health, the quality of processed information has always been a priority, handled professionaly and never neglecting its security.
The PISA "ms-dos" version was used throughout the portuguses mainland until the end of the 90s, suffering many updates along the way.
In 1993 the Field Solution was introduced to allow automation of data entries by the veterinary brigades on field work.
In January 2000, the PISA was permanently replaced by PISAWin's, a new version for Windows environments.
In the end of 2008 the newest version, PISA.net was implementes by all Official Entities in Portugal.
